Katie is in her mid-twenties and is a San Francisco Bay Area native who currently works as a mental health clinician / social worker (hence the name “soulful worker”) at a local non-profit in Santa Clara County. She holds a master’s degree in social work from Sacramento State University and is currently pursuing her license in clinical social work.
Katie is an outspoken advocate for people living with mental health, addiction, and vulnerabilities.
She is a firm believer in the power of hope and of community.
When she isn’t blogging or working overnight shift (and therefore, sleeping during the day), Katie enjoys reading, serving in her church, photography, cooking, and spending time with her loved ones, including her beloved Leo, a 3 year old corgi who has a love and appreciation for food almost as much as he does his humans.
